In Mykolaiv, members of the Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club showcased their artworks at the exhibition

At the Mykolaiv Central City Library for Children named after Sh. Kober and V. Khomenko, an exhibition was held to mark the 236th anniversary of the founding of Mykolaiv. As part of the event, members of the Lisky Nordic Walking Group — part of the Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club — presented their own hand-painted “paint-by-numbers” artworks.

Creating these pieces offers a range of benefits for participants, including the development of fine motor skills, improved concentration, enhanced creative thinking, and a calming, therapeutic effect.

The exhibition was not only an opportunity to showcase vivid scenes and share the results of their creativity, but also a meaningful form of self-expression. The emotions, moods, and personal stories reflected in their artwork highlight how important it is for members of the Active Longevity Club to take part in such initiatives.

Activities like this help participants discover new hobbies, connect with like-minded individuals, and remain active, engaged members of their community.
