Ukrainian Red Cross Summer School on International Humanitarian Law 2025

The Ukrainian Red Cross organised a training event on International Humanitarian Law (IHL), which was attended by over 60 representatives from Ukrainian government bodies and foreign delegates.

Over four days, participants deepened their knowledge of the fundamentals of IHL, discussed issues related to the protection of civilians and children during armed conflict, practical aspects of safeguarding cultural heritage, accountability for violations of IHL, and other important topics. The 2025 IHL Summer School brought together delegates from the Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Canadian, and Lithuanian Red Cross societies, as well as representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross headquarters in Geneva.
