Over 1,100 residents of the Poltava community now know how to protect themselves from explosive hazards
Since the launch of the project “Raising Awareness about Explosive Hazards and Safety Rules”, the team from the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has held 132 informational sessions across various towns and villages in the region.
A total of 1,163 people — both adults and children — have gained knowledge that will help them respond correctly in dangerous situations and avoid accidents. These residents come from both towns and small villages, as understanding the risks and safety rules is important for everyone.
One of the key areas of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s work is raising awareness about the risks posed by explosive hazards throughout the country. Mine risk is part of our daily reality. By knowing how to act in hazardous situations, accidents can be prevented.
Knowledge is power — and caution.
We stand by those in need to educate, inform, and help prevent harm.
