In Poltava, an accounting course has been launched as part of the Ukrainian Red Cross Reboot programme

Poltava University of Economics and Trade has launched an accounting course for representatives of vulnerable groups. The course is part of the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Spanish Red Cross.

The programme aims to improve financial literacy and provide practical skills to help participants secure future employment. The course opening ceremony was attended by lecturers, Oleksii Nestulia, the university rector; Iryna Pliusnina, head of the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross; experienced accountants; and programme participants.

Participants were introduced to the curriculum, which covers the basics of accounting, tax legislation, and working with accounting software, including 1C, alongside practical business cases. They were also given a tour of the classrooms, met the lecturers, and had the opportunity for informal discussions.
