In Kryvyi Rih, training on psychological first aid was held for police officers

As part of the Multisectoral Programme for Emergency Response project, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team of the Dnipro regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross conducted psychological first aid (PFA) training for police officers in Kryvyi Rih.

During the training, participants learned the principles of providing PFA to first responders, with a focus on the “Look. Listen. Link.” approach. They also explored the structure of psychosocial interventions, crisis events, and typical responses to such situations.

In addition, the police officers took part in role-playing exercises, discussed referral pathways, and highlighted the importance of self-care and looking after their teams. The session concluded with group breathing exercises.
