The mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross operate in remote communities, providing primary healthcare and delivering medicines to those in need.

Specialists of the mobile health units:

  • assess patients’ conditions;
  • measure blood pressure;
  • measure blood glucose and oxygen levels;
  • if necessary, provide immediate primary healthcare or refer patients for specialist consultations;
  • provide free over-the-counter medicines of general therapeutic effect to stabilise the patient’s condition;
  • in the case of a life-threatening condition, transport the patient to a medical facility.

Six mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross operate in the region, providing services in the Krolevets, Trostianets, Hlukhiv, Nedryhailiv, Vilshany, Korovyntsi, Putyvl, and Krasnopillia communities. The units also visit the border villages of the region.

The Mobile Health Units programme is being implemented in the Sumy region with the support of the Swedish Red Cross.

We stand by those in need!
