The Livelihoods Support Programme is being launched in the Krolevets community in the Sumy region to assist households affected by the war. Under this programme, 150 households will receive support

The programme provides targeted financial assistance of UAH 40,000. It will be implemented in Krolevets, as well as in the starosta districts of Obtove, Reutyntsi, and Gruzke, with the possibility of expansion to other communities.

Who can participate in the programme?

Recipients of assistance must be able-bodied household members aged 18 to 65 who meet at least one of the following vulnerability criteria:

  • ⁠caring for the elderly (aged 65+), persons with disabilities (groups 1-2), or minor orphans;
  • ⁠families with two or more children under the age of 18;
  • ⁠able-bodied pensioners or persons with disabilities;
  • officially registered unemployed persons (registered with the Employment Centre);
  • internally displaced persons who own property or have been living in the community for the last six months;
  • single parents;
  • demobilised individuals (after 24 February 2022);
  • low-income households.

Conditions for receiving a grant:

  • Only one household member may receive support.
  • ⁠Individuals who have received similar assistance from other organisations in the past year are not eligible to participate in the programme.

The programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Swedish Red Cross and aims to support the most vulnerable individuals and help them restore their livelihoods.
