Three Years — Three Key Dates: The Development of Physical and Mental Rehabilitation

Over the past three years of full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Red Cross has continued to support those in need. Despite constant challenges, we have expanded our physical and mental rehabilitation efforts to help Ukrainians restore both their physical health and emotional well-being more effectively. These three years have been a time of adaptation, the search for new solutions, and continuous progress to ensure help is available to everyone.

  • 1 July 2023. Opening of the First Rehabilitation Space

The opening of the first rehabilitation space marked a significant milestone in the expansion of our support mission. This is a place where anyone can access rehabilitation services provided by specialists who help them return to an active life within the community.

  • 22-28 January 2024. The First Cycle of Social Rehabilitation for Veterans and Their Families
    Khmilnyk town, Vinnytsia region

The first retreat marked the beginning of a large-scale project for the social adaptation of veterans and their families. The main goal of the project is to help veterans stabilise their psycho-emotional state, restore family ties, and receive the necessary support for further adaptation.

  • 27 February 2024. The First Deployment of the Mobile Rehabilitation Unit (MRU)

The first deployment of the mobile rehabilitation units as part of the newly created project marked an important step in ensuring the provision of quality rehabilitation and mental health support services, even in the most remote communities where this help is most needed.

Each of these dates represents more than just an event — it is the start of a journey to help people restore an active life with the support they need.
