In Kyiv, the first training sessions under the Multisectoral Programme for Emergency Response project took place

The project aims to support communities in overcoming the consequences of emergencies and strengthening their resilience. It is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with assistance from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The main goal of the project is to provide the population of Ukraine with access to vital services and protection. This will be achieved by offering psychosocial support, teaching psychological first aid and basic psychological assistance, raising awareness of mine risks and gender-based violence, and providing humanitarian aid.

A series of training sessions is planned as part of the project to teach participants how to respond effectively in a humanitarian crisis, acquiring both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

The first training session was aimed at project participants, including regional coordinators, financial specialists, psychologists, and psychosocial counsellors. The second session focused on volunteers and staff of the Ukrainian Red Cross from various areas and regions, with the aim of increasing the coverage of services.

During the training, all participants had the opportunity to enhance their professional skills and gain a better understanding of the key aspects of providing assistance and ensuring safety in the humanitarian context.
