In Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian Red Cross responds on site after another attack
Last night, the emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zaporizhzhia region worked alongside emergency services at the sites affected by another attack on Zaporizhzhia. Volunteers provided first aid to four injured people, including a child.
A Ukrainian Red Cross support point is currently operating at the scene, where affected people are receiving humanitarian assistance. Local residents and emergency responders involved in the operation can also warm up, have hot drinks, and charge their devices there.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, at least 16 people have been injured as a result of the attack, including six children. One of the residential buildings was destroyed from the first to the fourth floor, followed by the collapse of the fifth. Search and rescue operations are ongoing. Fires caused by the attack have been extinguished by firefighters.
