The Ternopil Centre for Psychosocial Support conducted a training session on psychological first aid for representatives of the leadership of trade unions for education and science workers in the Ternopil region.
Psychological first aid involves providing emotional support to individuals who have experienced crisis events or stressful situations, helping them to manage these challenges and make informed decisions. During the training, participants learned about common reactions to stress, methods for calming those who have faced crises, and the importance of self-care.
They acquired skills and knowledge that will enable them to provide effective and timely assistance to those in need. Participants practised active listening and compassionate communication and learned self-help techniques to enhance their well-being.
