The Assistance of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Izmail

In Izmail, Odesa region, residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged as a result of a night attack on the city on 27 September, with a number of deaths and injuries.

The Izmail district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross promptly arrived at the scene. Volunteers inspected the area and assessed the needs of the victims. Humanitarian aid was provided, including plastic sheeting to temporarily cover broken windows and hygiene and sleeping kits. Volunteers also distributed clothing and other essentials collected by local residents to support those affected.
