Over 1,100 people were educated about mine risks in Kyiv in September
In September, instructors from the Kyiv city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross held 70 information sessions on “Raising Awareness of the Risks of Explosive Devices and Promoting Safer Behaviour.” More than 1,100 individuals, including children, attended these events.
Instructors reached people in educational institutions, museums, libraries, and public places such as parks and squares, as well as on the streets. They informed attendees about mines and their types, identified hazardous areas, explained marking signs, and outlined an action protocol in case of detecting mines or explosive devices.
Please remember to follow these basic safety rules in case of mine detection:
- Stop.
- Do not panic.
- Do not touch.
- Call 101, 102, or 112.
