Volunteers participated in firefighting in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region
It took four days to extinguish a fire in the Vyshhorod district.
Emergency response teams from the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Kyiv region and the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross were involved in the response from the outset.
In particular, they organised a field kitchen, providing over 900 servings of hot food and more than 2,000 servings of drinking water and hot beverages. Volunteers also assisted in localising the fire in hard-to-reach areas of the forest.
A total of 90 hours of continuous round-the-clock work were contributed by 25 volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross.
