The Deputy Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross made a speech at the EU Council IPCR (Integrated Political Crisis Response) Meeting. Members of the European Commission, the Council of the EU, and representatives of the Permanent Representations to the EU also attended the meeting.
This strategic meeting aimed to coordinate the European Union’s response to emergencies. The Ukrainian Red Cross seized the opportunity to highlight the needs of the Ukrainian population and the challenges posed by the upcoming winter to EU institutions directly responsible for developing specific responses to complex political crises.
In his speech, Illya Kletskovskyy provided an overview of the destruction and losses resulting from the recent wave of Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector. He also outlined the Ukrainian Red Cross’s response to the energy crisis and presented the organisation’s Strategy for Winter Preparedness 2024-2025.
