Training for the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross took place in Kyiv
A two-day training titled “Programme for the Development of Children’s Emotional Resilience” was recently held in Kyiv. The training is designed to enhance children’s resilience and well-being amid war and other crises. Teams from the Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions participated in the sessions. On the first day, participants explored the stages of the programme and gained insights into its content and objectives. The second day featured practical exercises based on the programme’s catalogue.
Given the challenging conditions in Ukraine—constant air raids, shelling, and time spent in shelters—children are particularly vulnerable. This programme aims to address the negative impacts on their mental health. The initiative is a collaborative effort by the Ukrainian Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and Save the Children International NGO.
