The Ukrainian Red Cross took part in the evacuation of residents of the Budyshcha Psychoneurological Residential Care Facility in the Sumy region

The Budyshcha Care Home, located in the Hlukhiv community about 20 kilometres from the border, is facing increasing risks due to daily shelling along the Sumy region’s border. To ensure the safety of its residents, a decision was made to evacuate them to a safer location. 

The emergency response team from the Sumy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross used specially equipped vehicles to transport residents with limited mobility. Mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross, which provide medical consultations in the Krolevets and Hlukhiv communities, also assisted with the evacuation.
