In Kyiv, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers met an evacuation train from the Donetsk region
An evacuation train from Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, recently arrived in Kyiv. Upon arrival, volunteers from the emergency response team of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Kyiv region met the evacuees. The particular challenge of this transportation was that the passengers required special transport conditions in specialised vehicles.
The volunteers assisted 14 individuals with limited mobility, three of whom were bedridden, and transported them to a residential care facility for the elderly and people with disabilities in the Kyiv region.
