A training course on psychological first aid was held in Odesa for the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Odesa region
During the training, the participants learned about the basic principles of providing psychological first aid and practised their skills in supporting individuals during various crisis situations. The team, which is actively involved in responding to emergencies, gained new knowledge and enhanced their existing skills. This will enable them to provide emotional support swiftly and effectively to victims or witnesses of emergencies who are experiencing severe stress following the event.
This training is a crucial part of the volunteer training programme for the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams. During emergencies, they must not only support others but also take care of their own well-being.
