Over 19,500 people have received assistance in the Odesa region over the past 7 months
The Odesa regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross carries out a wide range of activities in the region. These include distributing humanitarian aid, providing home-based care services for lonely people with limited mobility, raising awareness about the risks of mines, teaching first aid skills, and implementing projects to restore, reconstruct, or repair shelters for internally displaced persons. Additionally, they offer medical consultations in remote communities, conduct psychosocial support activities, provide information on health and disease prevention, and promote blood donation. Emergency response remains a key focus, with the Odesa regional emergency response team working on-site to mitigate the impact of emergencies, assist, evacuate, and transport victims, and support the work of emergency services.
Humanitarian aid is distributed regularly, primarily targeting evacuees, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable populations. Over the past seven months, more than 19,500 people have received assistance from the Odesa regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, including:
- 3,296 people received food parcels.
- 5,472 people received hygiene kits.
We stand by those in need.
