Mine risk awareness training for police officers in the Zhytomyr region
In the Zhytomyr region, the Ukrainian Red Cross has partnered with the National Police of Ukraine to conduct information sessions on mine risks for police officers.
Instructors from the “Demining Ukraine: Raising Public Awareness of Mine Risk Prevention and Providing Assistance to Victims” project inform police officers about what mines and explosive devices look like, where they can be hidden, and how to act safely if such devices are discovered.
As the duties of National Police officers are associated with increased risks, this training is crucial for equipping them with the necessary information on how to behave safely upon encountering explosive devices.
