The Ukrainian Red Cross will hold mine awareness sessions in educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region

During the working meeting, Svitlana Avramenko, Head of the Humanitarian Access and Protection Department and Advisor to the Director, and Alla Holikhovska, Head of the Education and Science Department at the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, agreed to enhance mine risk awareness among schoolchildren in the Mykolaiv region.

In particular, several joint activities have been identified concerning ‘Raising Awareness of the Risks of Explosive Devices and Safer Behaviour’, including the beginning of the construction of five educational spaces for ‘Safety Literacy’.

“During these events, we will collaborate to raise children’s awareness of safe behaviour in various life situations using modern technologies, information, and educational tools,” stated Svitlana Avramenko.
