Youth Day event held in Yuzhnoukrainsk

The Yuzhnoukrainsk city centre of the Mykolaiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross celebrated Youth Day by organising a Time Capsule event and an open-air film screening.

A time capsule is a way to preserve today’s moments for future generations. Imagine how, decades from now, the next generation of young people will open this capsule and experience the memories of today, be inspired by motivational letters, and feel the connection between generations. These letters, written by the city’s youth, are addressed to the future generation to be read in 10 years. The letters were placed in a Time Capsule on 12 August 2024, which will be honourably displayed at the Yuzhnoukrainsk city centre of the Ukrainian Red Cross and will be opened on 12 August 2034.
