In the Sumy region, people are actively informed about the risks of mines

In addition to informing the local population about mine risks, efforts are also made to educate the staff and volunteers of the Sumy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross. These individuals are involved in various areas and humanitarian programmes, frequently working in border communities. Therefore, it is essential for them to recognise what dangerous items look like and understand the steps to take if they encounter such items.

We want to remind you of the rules for safe behaviour if you encounter explosive devices:

  • Stop.
  • Do not panic.
  • Do not touch.
  • Call 101 or 102.
