In Smila, 200 families of internally displaced persons received food for their cats and dogs

The food for cats and dogs of various sizes, breeds, and ages was provided through the “Help for Animals” programme, implemented by the Cherkasy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with Humane Society International. The owners also received antiparasitic drops for their pets.

Due to the war, many people have had to relocate with their pets to new residences. Caring for and feeding pets represents a significant expense for families starting anew in safer places. Thus, this support helps families save money for other essential needs.
