Kharkiv. Another Russian missile attack on the city centre. Assistance provided by the Ukrainian Red Cross
Currently, 12 people are known to have been injured, including a child. There has been one reported death. The attack damaged civilian infrastructure: a medical facility, a dormitory, non-residential buildings, offices, and garages. A fire broke out at the site of the strike.
The emergency response team of the Kharkiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross is engaged in the response. Volunteers searched the area for victims and administered first aid to the injured, including five people who were transported to hospital. The psychosocial support unit provided psychological first aid to those affected. A canine unit was also involved in the response.
As of now, first responders are continuing to extinguish the fire and rescue operations are ongoing.
