The mental health and psychosocial support activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross are actively expanding in the Zakarpattia region
Volunteers and employees are providing psychosocial support to various groups of people. This year, the range of events will expand to include not only children but also teenagers, adults, and the elderly.
For adults, psychoeducational sessions will focus on stress and emotional regulation, managing emotions and behaviour, and developing communication skills.
In the past two months alone, volunteers have conducted 16 sessions, reaching 95 people in Uzhhorod and Khust, particularly in concentrated residential areas. Prolonged stress and witnessing tragic events can negatively impact physical and mental health. Therefore, it is crucial to teach individuals how to manage their well-being and cope with stress.
It is important to note that the mental health and psychosocial support activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zakarpattia region are actively supported by the European Commission under the #EU4Health programme.
