Launch of a series of training sessions for Ukrainian Red Cross branches on establishing feedback mechanisms and information provision to affected population

Ongoing dialogue with communities is essential for ensuring targeted and timely assistance to the affected population. Ukrainian Red Cross staff and volunteers play a crucial role in establishing this process. To support this vital activity, the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Engagement and Accountability Unit has launched a series of training sessions titled “Feedback Mechanism” and “Information as Assistance” for branches at all levels of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

Participants from various work areas will learn methods for collecting, analysing, and responding to feedback. They will also explore best practices for providing relevant, timely, and effective information and establishing two-way communication with communities. The training will result in establishing or adjusting existing local feedback channels and strengthening community outreach.

In July 2024, four pilot regions – Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, and Kherson – completed the training on feedback mechanisms and information as assistance. All 60 participants received workbooks to apply their knowledge, and trainers provided feedback on their progress.

Through these initiatives, the Ukrainian Red Cross is becoming an even more reliable partner for communities, providing timely assistance to those in greatest need.

We stand by those in need.
