Assistance to those affected in Mykolaiv following the missile strike on the city

Yesterday, Mykolaiv was once again targeted by a Russian missile, which hit a children’s playground in the city centre. The strike resulted in 24 injuries and 4 deaths. Among those killed was a twelve-year-old boy…

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team from the Mykolaiv region was on site. The volunteers provided first aid to 25 people, including five children and a pregnant woman, and offered psychological first aid to 30 others. Additionally, they transported five people with mild to moderate injuries to the city’s medical facilities.

An aid station was set up where more than 500 bottles of water were distributed.

The volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team from the Mykolaiv region also evacuated two cats from a damaged house.

Employees and volunteers of the Mykolaiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided those affected with basic necessities and construction materials to temporarily repair their damaged apartments.
