Nadiia’s story: a household support programme in the Sumy region
“Let’s go to my kingdom, my paradise,” says Nadiia, referring to her garden. Through the Livelihoods Programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Sumy region with the support of the Swedish Red Cross, the woman received assistance in planting seedlings and digging a well.
So far, 150 households have received financial assistance through this programme. Residents of the Klyshky, Chapliyivka, Voronizh districts, and Shostka are eligible to participate. Assistance is provided to develop, restore, or launch a commercial activity that will become a profitable business to support families’ livelihoods.
