In the Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian Red Cross team has provided humanitarian aid to over 2,000 internally displaced persons in three weeks

Since the outbreak of the full-scale war in Ukraine, temporary accommodations in Kharkiv have become a refuge for hundreds of people. Residents of the Kharkiv region and neighbouring areas can feel safe here until they can return home or find permanent housing. They receive essential assistance and support, which is crucial after evacuation from dangerous areas.

Over the past three weeks, volunteers of the Kharkiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross have been actively assisting internally displaced persons from frontline communities in the Kharkiv region who are currently staying in temporary accommodations. More than 2,000 individuals across 12 temporary accommodation centres have received humanitarian aid in the form of individual hygiene kits.

We remind everyone that leaving for a safer place can save lives. We stand by those in need!
