The participants in the Ukrainian Red Cross Activation Point Project met with potential employers in Cherkasy

The project participants are currently completing training in “Sewing” and “Pastry Chef” courses. These professions are among the most popular in the region, allowing for quick employment. During the meeting, participants met potential employers, discussed job opportunities, and received advice on professional development in their chosen occupations.

Representatives of Veneto Group LLC, the catering company Food and Company, and PoTiKs LLC were among the employers. They spoke about their activities and available vacancies and invited potential candidates for interviews or internships. They also exchanged contact information to discuss further cooperation.

Viktoriia Ohirenko, deputy director of the Cherkasy branch of the Cherkasy Regional Employment Centre, and Vita, head of the recruitment department of the Cherkasy Regional Employment Centre, attended the meeting to explain how to search for a job effectively and how the employment service can assist in this process.

The Activation Point Project, implemented with the support of the Spanish Red Cross, aims to provide free training or retraining for vulnerable people who plan to become sought-after candidates in the labour market and find decent jobs in their place of residence.
