In Odesa, an event was held to support families of missing persons
Waiting and uncertainty create intense and prolonged stress for the body, negatively impacting mental and physical health. In such moments, people may feel hopeless, apathetic, and powerless. Coping with these feelings alone can be challenging. That is why the Ukrainian Red Cross Tracing Service team, in addition to helping find and trace missing persons, organises meetings for families to provide essential psychosocial support.
For example, the Tracing Service of the Odesa regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross recently organised and held a creative event called “Wuxing Painting” for the families of missing persons. Participants communicated, shared their feelings and emotions, and painted pictures. It helped them shift their focus, talk, and relax.
