Delegates from the Austrian Red Cross (Neighbour in Need) conducted a monitoring visit to Zakarpattia

Targeted visits were made to patients with limited mobility and immobility, aged 86 and 73. The doctor performed laboratory tests, measured blood pressure, and conducted ECG examinations. Vira, the patients’ caregiver, explained that her beneficiaries came from Zaporizhzhia and found shelter at the home of Yelyzaveta, who kindly provided them with accommodation. 

Vira shared her life story: “We live in a mountainous area. As you have seen with Volodymyr and Maria, they cannot reach the hospital independently due to their condition. The mobile health unit is our lifeline. Doctors visit us at least three times a month, conducting examinations and providing medicines. We are very grateful to the Ukrainian Red Cross for this vital help.”
