In the Sumy region, six mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided over 750 medical consultations across 37 settlements within a week
The mobile health units provide free primary healthcare in remote communities where access to medical services is limited.
During their visits, the specialists of the mobile health units:
- Provide medical consultations and assess people’s health.
- Measure blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood oxygen levels.
- Prescribe treatment regimens and dispense over-the-counter medicines for general therapeutic purposes to alleviate health conditions.
- Issue referrals for consultations with specialized medical specialists.
- Assist in transporting individuals to medical facilities in cases of critical health conditions.
In the Sumy region, six mobile health units of the Ukrainian Red Cross regularly visit remote settlements in the Krolevets, Trostianets, Hlukhiv, Nedryhailiv, Putyvl, and Krasnopillia communities.
