Delivering Humanitarian Aid to Elderly People in Zolotonosha
In Zolotonosha, 370 elderly people aged 65+ received humanitarian aid from the Ukrainian Red Cross, including food parcels and kitchen utensils. Additionally, 160 internally displaced families who were forced to leave their homes due to the war received pet food for their four-legged pets. This assistance was provided in partnership with Humane Society International.
To make waiting in the queue less routine and exhausting, volunteers set up a tent camp, where they told people about the Ukrainian Red Cross programmes and activities, conducted a psychosocial support event, and informed people about the risks of mines.
Children who came to the event with adults were also not bored, as they could express themselves creatively and make “heartfelt postcards” for their relatives, friends, or pets.
