Nearly 200 People Receive Assistance from 35 Social Assistants of the Vinnytsia Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross

Every day, the team of the Home-Based Care programme visits lonely elderly people and people with disabilities, providing them with social services, assistance with household chores, and psychological first aid when necessary. For many of them, this assistance has gone beyond the call of duty and evolved into a good human relationship.

“What my clients need most of all is attention and a sense of self-worth,” says social assistant Natalia. “Often, we serve as the bridge between these people and the outside world. That’s why, for instance, we organised a trip to the Podil Zoo for them. Despite the slower pace, the emotions were just as positive!”
