Working Visit of the Canadian Red Cross Representatives to the Poltava Region

Representatives of the Canadian Red Cross, including Askar Umarbekov, Head of the European Region of the Canadian Red Cross, and Mathieu Léonard, Head of the Canadian Red Cross delegation in Ukraine, paid a working visit to a shelter in Poltava. During the visit, they inspected the shelter’s renovation progress and interacted with its residents.

“We are sincerely grateful to the Canadian Red Cross and the Ukrainian Red Cross in Poltava for the opportunity to live in normal conditions, with cosy rooms and renovated kitchens and bathrooms,” said the shelter residents who relocated from Kharkiv and Toretsk.

The Canadian Red Cross is a strong partner of the Ukrainian Red Cross, supporting the activities of many Ukrainian Red Cross branches in different regions of Ukraine. Thanks to their support, a shelter dormitory for internally displaced persons in the Poltava region was renovated and equipped with furniture and appliances. These improvements have significantly enhanced living conditions, providing a sense of home and comfort.
