The Ukrainian Red Cross, Lviv City Council, and the Government of Lithuania to Restore Rehabilitation Centre in Bryukhovychi, Lviv Region
Today, June 12th, during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin, the Ukrainian Red Cross, Lviv City Council, the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA), which is a Lithuanian government organization, and the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “First Territorial Medical Union of Lviv” signed a memorandum to restore the rehabilitation centre in the village of Briukhovychi, Lviv region.
The partners agreed that the cooperation would include the following:
- reconstruction and repair of existing buildings;
- construction of new buildings and landscaping for rehabilitation needs;
- equipping the rehabilitation centre with the necessary medical furniture and equipment.
The memorandum was signed by Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Andriy Sadovyi, Lviv City Mayor, Lidija Kašubienė, representative of the Government of Lithuania, and Oleh Samchuk, Director General of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “First Territorial Medical Union of Lviv”. The signing was attended by Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine, Vasyl Shkurakov, Acting Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, and Martin Horn, Mayor of Freiburg.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Red Cross has undertaken the reconstruction of rehabilitation centres. With the support of partners, the 7-storey building of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation centre in Lviv has been reconstructed, and the Centre for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for People with Disabilities has been rebuilt in Liutizh, Kyiv region.
