Opening of the Active Longevity Club in Ivano-Frankivsk

A Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club for elderly people has been opened in Ivano-Frankivsk. The club aims to support the mental and physical well-being of elderly residents, enhance their social integration into modern society, and provide opportunities for gaining new knowledge and skills to enhance their quality of life.

At the Active Longevity Clubs, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers:

  • create a safe space for elderly people;
  • implement psychosocial support activities;
  • conduct technical training and master classes;
  • organise leisure clubs and events aimed at creative self-realisation.

Comprehensive support for elderly people in Ukraine is an important part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’ activities. The work of the Active Longevity Clubs in the Ivano-Frankivsk District is implemented with the support of the Swiss Red Cross.
