The Ukrainian Red Cross Conducts Psychosocial Support Activities in Summer School Camps in Vinnytsia under a Special Programme
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Vinnytsia region conduct psychosocial support activities based on the Emotional Resilience Handbook for Children programme. Participants have the opportunity to present themselves as individuals, define their own role in the lives of others, learn more about the support system and what is needed for healthy physical, mental, and emotional development, get tools to overcome obsessive or negative thoughts, and restore a sense of security and self-worth through active games and communication with peers.
“I like that during the classes, the opinion of each of us is important. We are told that there are no wrong answers. We have the opportunity not only to do the physical exercises, but also to think about things we don’t pay much attention to and give a ‘grade’ for conducting the class,″ said Ruslan, a ten-year-old participant.
