Video: The Evacuation of People from Residential Care Facilities in the Kharkiv Region
The emergency response teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Sumy, Dnipro, and Kharkiv regions, in coordination with the authorities, evacuated people with disabilities and elderly individuals from residential care facilities in the Kharkiv region to safer locations in the Kyiv region.
The team successfully evacuated 37 people, including five members of the residential care facilities staff who accompanied the residents.
Evacuating people from towns and villages in danger due to hostilities is one of the areas of work of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams. Given the escalating situation in the north of the Kharkiv region and constant shelling, such assistance is relevant and crucial.
