Volunteers of Emergency Response Teams Help Residents of the Government-Controlled Donetsk Region as Part of the East Mission

Following another Russian attack, members of the Bilyi Yanhol (White Angel) unit of the National Police of Ukraine went to the village of Drobysheve to assist local residents in evacuating. Amid frequent shelling of the Donetsk region, people began to call for help. The next day, a family – consisting of three adults and a five-year-old girl – requested evacuation.

“My house is intact; only half of the windows are missing. Three houses have been demolished, and the child is hysterical,” said one of the family members during the evacuation.

The police successfully transported the family to Lyman in an armoured car. There, they were handed over to volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross, who facilitated their journey to the Poltava region.

Over the past few days, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team has evacuated several families in the Donetsk region as part of the East Mission, totalling 13 people, including 4 children.
