Knowledge That Saves Lives: Ukrainian Red Cross Instructors Teach First Aid to Emergency Workers in the Zakarpattia Region
Instructors from the Zakarpattia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross conducted a first aid training session for students of the Mali Heiivtsi Lyceum named after F. Egri in the Uzhhorod region, as well as for specialists from the local fire brigade. During the training, boys and girls from the young firefighters’ team learned essential skills that could potentially save lives in emergency situations. Working alongside the firefighters of the local brigade, the young participants not only absorbed theoretical knowledge but also actively practised their skills using training manikins.
This experience is important for each participant, as the ability to control bleeding, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and administer first aid before the arrival of emergency medical services can make a crucial difference in saving lives.
