The Work of the Druzhkivka City Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross
The Druzhkivka city branch in the Donetsk region is one of the closest to the front line permanently operating branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross. The city is located just 15 kilometres from Chasiv Yar, which is now the site of fighting.
Due to its proximity to the front line, the organisation experiences an exceptionally high workload. Almost daily, individuals seek assistance after losing their homes or belongings due to enemy shelling or require evacuation to ensure their safety.
The local branch employees understand how important their work is, even though they admit it is scary. However, the gratitude of those they assist motivates them and gives them the strength to continue their work.
We stand by those in need!
