In Uman, Cherkasy region, the Ukrainian Red Cross Instructors Inform People about the Risks of Mines and Other Explosive Devices
Educating children on the threat of mines is particularly important because of their natural curiosity and lack of risk awareness. That is why it is so important to teach children to avoid unknown objects and report any suspicious findings to adults. Recently, instructors from the Uman city district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross visited the gymnasium to conduct mine risk education sessions for primary and secondary school students.
During the events, the instructor explained:
- What mines and explosive remnants of war are.
- The action protocol in case of detecting dangerous objects.
- Rules for safer behaviour.
We continue to share knowledge that prevents accidents and can save lives.
