Over 70 Social Assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross Provide Regular Care for Nearly 360 Beneficiaries in 79 Settlements of the Rivne Region

Beneficiaries of the Home-Based Care programme are usually lonely elderly people who need external assistance and support.

Social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross:

  • help with household chores, including cleaning, cooking and other household needs;
  • purchase and deliver food, medicines, and other essentials;
  • provide emotional support and care to their beneficiaries.

The Home-Based Care programme of the Ukrainian Red Cross aims to offer comprehensive humanitarian assistance to lonely elderly individuals, tailored to the needs of each beneficiary, and to support their physical and mental well-being.

The activities of social assistants in the Rivne region are supported by the German Red Cross.
