The Ukrainian Red Cross Held Psychological First Aid Training Sessions in Kherson and Bilozerka Village
The participants were volunteers and staff of the Bilozerka district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the Central district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Kherson. They had the opportunity to gain basic knowledge on providing assistance to different categories of people, recognising individuals experiencing severe stress, and referring them to specialists if necessary.
Evacuating people from dangerous regions, responding to emergencies, conducting activities to support the affected population, and providing the most necessary information during or after crisis events are some of the main tasks of the mental health and psychosocial support team. Given the constant shelling in the Kherson region, it is important that we provide timely and effective support to everyone in need.
The acquired knowledge and skills may be useful for participants not only during the implementation of the activity but also in everyday life. Taking care of yourself allows you to help others better and be more resilient to emergencies.
