Krasnohrad District Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross Supports Lonely People in the Kharkiv Region

Due to their health conditions, some individuals require assistance with household chores and care. There are many elderly people among them. 

Social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross Home-Based Care programme visit their beneficiaries several times a week. They buy medicines, food, and hygiene items, cook meals, clean homes, and help people with limited mobility perform hygiene procedures. While these tasks may seem routine to some, for people who live alone and cannot leave their apartment or house, this is a crucial help because it covers their basic needs. 

In addition, social assistants provide lonely people with humanitarian aid. This time, they received hygiene and cleaning products and food parcels. We understand how important it is to meet people’s basic needs, especially during today’s challenging times.
