Information Event Dedicated to World Hypertension Day Held in Zhmerynka
On the occasion of World Hypertension Day, the Ukrainian Red Cross health consultants in Zhmerynka informed the public about the peculiarities of this disease and methods for its prevention.
During the information and practical sessions, participants:
- Learned about arterial hypertension and the health risks of high blood pressure.
- Explored actions and habits that can help prevent the onset of this disease.
- Gained practical skills in blood pressure measurement.
As part of the ‘Strengthening Community Health’ programme, Ukrainian Red Cross health consultants inform community members about common diseases and methods for their prevention, teach healthcare skills, and assist in developing healthy lifestyles. Currently, the ‘Strengthening Community Health’ programme is being implemented in 10 communities in the Kirovohrad and Vinnytsia regions.
